Give a fruity twist to your already delicious banana bread by adding fresh strawberries.

Preheat the oven to 170ºC / 325ºF / gas 3 and grease and line a 450g / 1lb loaf tin.

In a small bowl combine the flour, baking powder and salt.

In a large bowl, beat together the light brown sugar, eggs and melted butter with an electric whisk until light and fluffy, about 3-5 minutes.

Fold in the flour mixture, mashed Chiquita bananas and cut strawberries by hand, making sure the fruit is evenly dispersed. Pour into the prepared tin.

Slice the Chiquita mini bananas vertically, then place diagonally onto the batter in the tin.

Bake in the oven for one hour, or until a skewer inserted comes out clean.

TIP: Top with slivered almonds before baking for extra crunch.
