Prevention is key.
Small Change, Big Difference: Join the Movement
A small change can make a big difference in the fight against breast cancer. Miss Chiquita is leading by example, changing the iconic label to pink and encouraging women to take care of their own health. This new stance encourages women to adopt small habits, like adopting a healthy lifestyle and scheduling regular screenings, that can make a big difference in their lives.
This year, De Cecco, one of the most famous Italian pasta brands in the world also took part in the movement. The gleaner, their well-known female icon, decided to take up Miss Chiquita’s invitation and change her pose to that of empowerment. In the campaign we see the two female icons side by side in the new pose, calling for participation and encouraging all women to focus on prevention.
Join Miss Chiquita in spreading this crucial message about prevention and the importance of regular check-ups!

Chiquita and The American Cancer Society (ACS) partnership
In the global mission to fight breast cancer, everyone has a role to play. We are proud to collaborate with key global health organizations and non-profits to spread the message to women around the world about the importance and urgency of annual breast screenings and early detection, as well as adopting healthy lifestyles and eating habits.
Our collaboration with American Cancer Society gives us the opportunity to promote the prevention and treatment of breast cancer in United States while providing valuable support for the implementation of programs that support breast cancer patients whenever they need it.
Facts & Figures
The American Cancer Society projects the numbers of new cancer cases and deaths expected each year in order to estimate the contemporary cancer burden, because cancer incidence and mortality data lag 2 to 4 years behind the current year. In addition, the regularly updated Facts & Figures publications present the most current trends in cancer occurrence and survival, as well as information on symptoms, prevention, early detection and treatment.
Breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed among US women and is the second leading cause of death among women after lung cancer. This publication provides statistics about the occurrence of breast cancer, as well as information about risk factors, prevention, early detection, and treatment.
